PACK 111 2019 PINEWOOD DERBY
The Derby will take place at Davis Community Church in the Fellowship Hall.
RULES & PROCEDURES
VERY IMPORTANT: For a car to qualify for the Derby, it must be submitted on or before TECH DAY.
TECH DAY will be held on Sunday, January 27th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Brian Alexander’s garage – 3707 Gaviota Place, Davis, 95618. TECH DAY is an opportunity to weigh the cars and verify they meet all qualifying specifications. If you cannot submit your car on TECH DAY, contact Brian Alexander at bcalexander@ucdavis.edu to make separate arrangements the prior week.
At time of drop-off on TECH DAY, you will be asked whether the car is to be entered in the Boy-Built or Parent-Assisted division. If you enter the Boy-Built division, the parent and scout will be asked to sign a statement that the parent has not had any hands-on assistance…even with the shaping of the car. Verbal assistance is acceptable.
